The Case Study on The Effectiveness of Associative Drawing Technique on the Self-esteem and Future Self-portrait of Maladjustment Teenager

Abstract
The purpose of this case study is to see the effect of e drawing technique on the self-esteem and future self-portrait of maladjustment teenager. The psychology of the adolescent is very complex. This period is have self-portrait/identity confusion. In particular, the self-portraits of maladjust adolescents is more confused. The adolescence is the time to explore their goals. The adolescent without goals can lead to maladaptive behaviors. The maladjust adolescents can cause problems in the home and school life. Research problem is to first, the associative drawing technique will affect the changes of self-esteem of maladjusted adolescents? second, the associative drawing technique will have some impact on the future of maladjusted youth self-portrait? The case study participants is 5 junior high school students who maladjustment teenager. The associative drawing technique on the self-portrait activity was out a total 9 of sessions with one sessions of 90 minutes. The results were compared 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 session of 9 sessions. The research tools is to use Self-Esteem Scale of Rosenberg for to see changing of future self-portrait. The results has been Improved of self-esteem about 25% more than in pre-test. In the above result, associative drawing technique proved to be reminded that the effect technique for positive change in the negative self-portrait/identity of maladjustment teenager.
